III. The non-electoral postscript
The third figure on the scoreboard is not a vote count. In September 2024 a purported meeting of the National Party, called in part to deal with his leadership, was attended in person by one person. The Electoral Commission ruled that meeting invalid, but later confirmed his removal on other grounds in 2025. The party context is on the National Party page. The Journal Electoral Commission
